Texas Representative Beth Van Duyne (R) took time to highlight the human trafficking issues in the U.S. Furthermore, the congresswoman's message was timely since January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month.

According to the hotline, “Human trafficking is the business of stealing freedom for profit. In some cases, traffickers trick, defraud or physically force victims into providing commercial sex.”
People of all different demographics can be forced into human slavery under which they are physically and emotionally abused and controlled by terrible traffickers.
The cruel crime is a multi-billion dollar industry that binds 24.9 million people around the world. Furthermore, over 10,000 victims are trafficked in the U.S.
In her attack on the issue, Rep. Van Duyne pointed to the human traffickers who use the border to commit their crimes. Both the border and human trafficking are quite sensitive issues, yet the congresswoman was not afraid to address them both.
Rep. Van Duyne has focused heavily on the border in recent months. In December, the Texas lawmaker was highly critical of the news that the Department of Justice (DOJ) planned to sue Texas if S.B. 4 was enforced.
In a tweet, Rep. Van Duyne made her qualms about the potential DOJ lawsuit very clear.
“Once again, the Biden Administration WILL DO ANYTHING to prevent even a shred of security at our southern border. Overwhelming our nation with mass illegal immigration is EXACTLY what these insane extremists want. I hope the Mayors of New York, Chicago, and every other Sanctuary City are ready to share in the pain caused by Biden’s PURPOSEFUL Border Disaster,” tweeted the Texas congresswoman.
