Texas Representative Beth Van Duyne (R) recapped the details of her recent letter calling out the Small Business Administration (SBA) policies on its members working from home.
“This week, I led a letter with my colleagues to end the Small Business Administration's work from home policies. While small business owners wake up and go to work every day, SBA employees are allowed to stay home while their building sits empty, wasting taxpayer dollars. This administration must get federal employees back in the office to work for the American people,” said Rep. Van Duyne.

Van Duyne gave an overview of the issues she had with how the SBA’s policies can affect U.S. citizens.
“This week, I led a letter with my colleagues to end the Small Business Administration’s work from home policies and get them back in the office. Small business owners get up and go to work every day while SBA employees are allowed to stay at home and their building sits empty, wasting taxpayer dollars,” said the congresswoman.
The Texas representative continued, “The SBA has an obligation to work for the American people and their work from home policies hinder the SBA’s efficiency and effectiveness putting small business owners at a disadvantage. COVID-19 is over, and this administration needs to get all federal employees back to work fully.”
Van Duyne recently pressed Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra on the fraudulent hospice schemes operating throughout the country.
“According to @CMSGov, there are more than 100 unique hospice providers operating out of this one address… Does that seem accurate to you? I pressed @SecBecerra about his failure to address fraudulent hospice schemes that have defrauded taxpayers of MILLIONS of dollars,” tweeted Rep. Van Duyne.
The Texas representative expressed her frustration about the cancellation of an attempt to get to the bottom of the hospice’s operations.
“My staff was looking forward to a long-planned meeting with CMS last week on this issue to find out how this continues to have more enrollment and how we’re continuing to enroll other facilities here. And yet, at the last minute, we had a cancellation of the meeting with nothing, no other explanation than a scheduling conflict,” said Van Duyne.
