Crenshaw Wants United CEO to Resign Over 'Terrible Leadership'

Earlier this year, Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R) reported an "assault" incident against his wife, his mother-in-law, and his dog by United Airlines employees. The Lone Star Republican has now shared a video of a 2017 incident that took place before a flight. Though he and his family were not involved in the 2017 incident, Rep. Crenshaw is calling on the United Airlines CEO to resign over "terrible leadership."

In the video shared on social media, a pilot, dubbed a "DEI pilot," is seen speaking to passengers in civilian clothes. The video, reporting done from Inside Edition, shows the pilot speaking to passengers about her divorce, political candidates, and even insulting a mixed-race couple. Stating that the captain "was not mentally in a safe space," passengers attempted to leave the flight.

In response to the video, Rep. Crenshaw commented that it's another example of "terrible leadership" from United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby.

According to Crenshaw, the pilot was not fired over the incident and instead was replaced for the flight. Because of this, Rep. Crenshaw expressed that United Airlines' "terrible leadership (CEO Scott Kirby) will not hold bad employees accountable and so slowly ruins the reputation of an entire airline and the many hard working employees that do their jobs every day."

He is now calling on Kirby to resign.

Although Rep. Crenshaw says he can't "escape" United Airlines because he lives in Houston, the Texas Republican is hopeful that pressure will cause the agency "to treat passengers better."

He also announced that his "first piece of legislation is coming soon," which is legislation that dates back to the incident earlier this year and that he hopes will address "how united protects psychotic behavior from their employees."

"It will force the larger airlines to pay back their free COVID money over 30 years and put the money into airport improvements," he shared.
