Former President Donald Trump is being commended by conservative Jewish-Americans for his comments during speeches on Thursday relating to antisemitism, Israel-US relations, and Israel’s war against Hamas.

President Trump claimed, if elected, he would demonstrate ironclad support for Israel, deport foreign Hamas sympathizers, and criticized Vice President Kamala Harris’ continued ceasefire push.

The Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC), operative since 1985 and designed to facilitate cooperation amongst US Jews and Republican lawmakers, released a statement praising President Trump’s comments.

RJC National Chairman former Senator Norm Coleman and CEO Matt Brooks stated Trump’s comments were “a tour de force in support of the Jewish community and Israel, as we collectively face some of the darkest days in modern Jewish history.”

RJC predicted Trump’s support for Israel and the Jewish-American community will bear fruit at the ballot box this november in a repeat of 2020.

“In 2020, President Trump received the largest share of the Jewish vote in 40 years, including record-setting levels of support in key battleground states,” said RJC. “We fully expect President Trump to build on his historic success in this critical 2024 election.”

Trump’s presidency featured key symbolic and strategic developments in US-Israel relationships, including the signing of the Abraham Accords and the relocation of the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.

The Abraham Accords are bilateral agreements on Arab–Israeli normalization brokered by Trump’s administration and signed between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and between Israel and Bahrain.

Future similar agreements with Israel’s neighbors have been stifled since Israel’s military response to Hamas’ October 7th attacks.

“With antisemitism skyrocketing to record highs and the US-Israel relationship reaching new lows, it is more important than ever to send President Trump back to the White House,” concludes the RJC’s statement.
