Crockett Calls Trump Supporters ‘Minions, White Supremacists’

During a recent interview with MSNBC, Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D) called President Donald Trump (R) a liar. The Texas Democrat, who is also serving as the co-chair of the Harris-Walz campaign, also shared that she hopes the former president ends his political career soon. Discussing the November election, Rep. Crockett called President Trump’s supporters “minions” and “white supremacists.”

In 2016, Senator Hillary Clinton (D) received backlash for calling President Trump’s supporters a “basket of deplorables.” In 2024, President Trump’s supporters have now received new nicknames, namely “minions” and “white supremacists.”

In a recent interview, Rep. Crockett criticized President Trump, calling him a candidate who is “absolutely seeking to harm people.” She added that President Trump is guilty of spreading misinformation, and that she is hopeful that his political career will soon come to an end.

“We have decided that we are going to make sure that we tell as much truth to as many people as will listen to it, and for the rest of the folk, the only thing that I can hope is that Donald Trump will be out of our way soon, and he will lose his final election, and we will be done with him running for president,” Rep. Crocket expressed.

Considering that the election is just 23 days away, the Texas Democrat shared that “young voters” are easily “the most movable group.” She cited them for Republicans not having the gains they expected to have in the House, and she posited that what young voters want to see from the political landscape, Democrats can offer.

“They want to see movement as it relates to guns in this country. They want to make sure that reproductive access is preserved,” she explained. “And to be perfectly honest, this is a group of folk that want to have that relief as it relates to the educational burden that they are enduring right now with student loans, and there’s only one team that even has conservations around these things.”
