Representative Ronny Jackson (R-TX) joined President Trump in his lawsuit against CBS and Paramount News as a plaintiff earlier this month. The lawsuit is over the edited 60 Minutes interview with then-Vice President and presidential candidate Kamala Harris (D).
According to the Amarillo Tribune, the amended complaint alleges that the "Defendants directed the broadcast and online postings of the interview to Texas for viewing by Texans, including Jackson," and that the companies purposely manipulated the interview to benefit Harris politically.
Rep. Jackson described the situation as "unacceptable" and that he was "proud" to be a part of this lawsuit with President Trump.
“CBS and Paramount’s manipulation of the truth to push their political agenda is unacceptable, and it’s time they are held accountable,” Rep. Jackson. "Their deceptive editing of Vice President Kamala Harris’ interview not only misled the public, but distorted the truth to serve their political agenda. As a plaintiff in this lawsuit, I’m proud to stand with President Trump to ensure these media giants are held responsible for misleading the American people.”
Moreover, Rep. Ronny Jackson was asked by Texas Politics about the collaboration and job performance of President Trump and Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) in securing the border and deporting illegal immigrants.
"A big part of why President Trump was you brought in with a big mandate, why he won every swing state out there is because immigration, immigration, immigration, it was, it was number one a lot of people's minds because the impact it's having our economy, on our safety and security, crime. I mean, it was a big deal," said Rep. Jackson. "And so, I think people are embracing the fact that they're doing what they said they're going to do. They're going after these people. They're here illegally."
Rep. Jackson also said that the Trump administration is currently directing their attention to the heinous, violent illegal immigrants, but "other" illegal immigrants can be included in the first round of deportations.
