Dennis Paul Receives Endorsement from Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick After Announcing Run for Texas Senate

Shortly after announcing his candidacy for Texas Senate District 11, State Representative Dennis Paul (R) received a key endorsement from Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick (R), strengthening his position in the upcoming race to succeed Senator Mayes Middleton.

Dennis Paul has everything that’s needed to be a Texas Senator,” Lt. Gov.  Patrick said. “He has a 12-year track record of being a stalwart conservative who keeps a laser focus on serving the people of his District. He will be a tremendous asset to the Texas Senate.”

Rep. Paul, who currently represents House District 129, formally declared his campaign while affirming his commitment to finishing the 89th legislative session in the Texas House.

“While I remain focused on completing the work of the 89th Session in the Texas House, I want to make my intentions clear,” Paul said. “It has been my great honor to serve the voters in HD 129 and I will continue to be your conservative voice for Senate District 11.”

Lt. Gov. Patrick cited Paul’s experience and reliability as reasons for his support.

“With his experience in the Texas House, he will be effective on Day 1 as a Senator,” Patrick stated. “I’m proud to endorse him as the next Senator from District 11.”

In his announcement, Rep. Paul emphasized his conservative values and dedication to the community.

“I will faithfully represent those values which make Texas the greatest state to live, work and raise a family: faith in God; love for family and liberty,” he said.

Senate District 11 covers parts of Harris, Galveston, and Brazoria counties.

With Middleton pursuing a statewide office, Paul’s entry and Patrick’s swift endorsement signal growing momentum in what may become a closely watched race.
