Biggs Condemns Jeffries' 'Reprehensible' Vow to Unmask ICE Agents

Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) condemned House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries' (D-NY) recent vow to unmask Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arresting illegal aliens in a recent post on X (formerly Twitter).

"This is reprehensible. The House Minority Leader threatened to dox our courageous @ICEgov agents for protecting our communities. Democrats continue to be pro-crime and anti-law enforcement," said Rep. Biggs in his post, linked to a Breitbart article covering Rep. Jeffries' remarks.

As Breitbart reported, the House Minority Leader made the remarks during a press conference, saying, "Every single ICE agent who is engaged in this aggressive overreach and are trying to hide their identities from the American people will be unsuccessful in doing that."

Rep. Jeffries seemed to imply ICE agents were acting like the Soviet Union's NKVD under Joseph Stalin by adding, "This is America. This is not the Soviet Union. We're not behind the Iron Curtain. This is not the 1930s."

"And every single one of them, no matter what it takes, no matter how long it takes, will, of course, be identified," Jeffries continued, concluding with, "That is, in fact, the law, and we're going to make sure that the American people have the transparency necessary to hold people accountable when they're folks who cross the line here in America. That's what's going to happen."

Boston, Massachusetts, Mayor Michelle Wu similarly derided ICE agents' use of masks while conducting operations, which Massachusetts District Attorney Leah Foley responded to by saying, "Federal agents in marked jackets and vests are masking their faces because people like Mayor Wu have created false narratives about their mission."

"Federal agents and their children are being threatened, doxxed, and assaulted — that's why they must hide their faces," Foley continued.

In mid-May, the Department of Homeland Security reported that assaults on ICE agents skyrocketed 413% due to such inflammatory rhetoric.
