Attorney General Ken Paxton: "Some Democrats ended their political temper tantrums after cowardly fleeing the state. We held the line, and they folded. State Senator Roland Gutierrez: "I'm proud to stand with my Texas House Democratic colleagues against Trump and Abbott's power grab. The time to fight for our democracy is NOW. We won't give up -- we've only just begun."

Texas DPS: "Heads up, Texas: @TxDPS is rolling out a new driver license design. Starting today, Texas driver license and identification cards will have a new look. The new card design includes increased security features and is made of tamper-resistant polycarbonate material that is difficult to reproduce. Previously issued cards are still valid until their new expiration date."

Governor Abbott Press Office: "Texans want -- and deserve -- lower property taxes. Senate Bill 9 would have capped how much cities and counties can raise property taxes without voter approval. Democrats ran away and turned their backs on this critical issue. Now, it's time to deliver this relief for Texans."
