U.S. Congressman Chip Roy (R) has announced the formation of a select committee aimed at investigating the money, influence, and coordination behind far-left groups that he says are undermining the rule of law in America.

In an interview with conservative radio host Dana Loesch, Roy emphasized what he called a coordinated effort by progressive organizations to politicize federal agencies and target conservative individuals and groups.

Loesch references newly released documents from the Senate Judiciary Committee, which reportedly show the former Biden administration targeted 92 Republican organizations, including a conservative group created by Charlie Kirk, Turning Point USA.

She compared these tactics to those used during the Obama administration, including alleged efforts to suppress the press using the Espionage Act.

"Whatever they accuse you of doing, they're doing," Roy responded.

He pointed to examples such as the IRS scandal, the use of the FACE Act against pro-life activists, and the targeting of parents who protest progressive school polices, particularly regarding transgender issues.

"These are not just random crackpots," said Roy. "This is a purposeful, organized effort carried out by radical leftist groups. We need to expose it, identify where they're violating the law, and prosecute them."

Roy's proposed committee aims to investigate the politicization of federal agencies, particularly the FBI, DOJ, and IRS, and their role in what he sees as a campaign to silence dissent and criminalize conservative viewpoints.

The committee is expected to begin hearings later this fall.
