Texas State Senator Adam Hinojosa (R) announced the completion of the first phase of a districtwide initiative to deliver Ten Commandments posters to public school classrooms.
The effort, aimed at supporting compliance with Texas Senate Bill 10 (SB 10), has resulted in every school in the northern counties of Senate District 27 receiving enough posters for each classroom.
The project was funded entirely through private donations, with no cost to school districts or taxpayers. Hinojosa credited the success to the contributions of local community partners, including Andres Palma, President of MEG Engineers, and grassroots organizations like Citizens Defending Freedom and Moms for Liberty.
"This effort reflects the power of community working hand-in-hand with our schools," Hinojosa said. "We could not have achieved this without the grassroots support from so many dedicated individuals."
Hinojosa emphasized the importance of ensuring full compliance with SB 10, which mandates the display of the Ten Commandments in public school classrooms across Texas.
"This is about ensuring that our classrooms reflect the values and history that helped shape our nation," he stated.
With northern counties now covered, Hinojosa confirmed that phase two of the initiative is already in progress, focusing on completing delivery in Willacy, Cameron, and Hidalgo Counties.
