Ken Paxton Partners with DOJ's Procurement Collusion Strike Force

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced a new partnership with President Trump's Department of Justice this week as part of the DOJ's Procurement Collusion Strike Force, a federal initiative aimed at combating antitrust crimes in government procurement.

Through this partnership, Paxton's office will work alongside the U.S. Department of Justice, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Attorneys' Offices, and other federal partners to detect, investigate, and prosecute bid rigging, price fixing, and other anticompetitive practices that undermine fair competition and misuse of taxpayer dollars at the federal, state, and local levels.

"I'm partnering with President Trump as a member of his DOJ's Procurement Collusion Strike Force to combat bid rigging and other anticompetitive practices that harm Texans," said Paxton. "This effort will help continue my office's work to protect taxpayer dollars by ensuring corporations do not engage in illegal activity."

Paxton emphasized that collaboration strengthens Texas's ability to confront complex antitrust violations by combining state and federal expertise and enforcement resources. He also highlighted coordination with President Trump, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and the DOJ as a key component of the effort to aggressively pursue illegal conduct in public contracting.

The DOJ's Procurement Collusion Strike Force focuses on safeguarding public procurement processes, where anticompetitive schemes can drive up costs, limit competition, and erode public trust.

By joining the task force, Attorney General Ken Paxton is reinforcing Texas's commitment to protecting taxpayers from bid rigging and other anticompetitive practices. The partnership strengthens coordination between state and federal law enforcement, ensuring that public procurement remains transparent, competitive, and free from illegal conduct that drives up costs for Texans.
