President Donald Trump (R) is expected to visit Corpus Christi, Texas, this week with only days remaining before the state's March 3 primary elections.

Texas Republicans began adjusting campaign schedules in anticipation of the president's arrival. Stan Gerdes, a state representative from Smithville, posted to X that he was rescheduling an event with Governor Greg Abbott because Trump "is coming to Texas this Friday."

President Trump's visit could carry significant political weight. He has endorsed dozens of Texas Republican candidates, but has notably stayed out of the U.S. Senate Primary, where incumbent John Cornyn is seeking renomination.

The president has frequently campaigned in Texas since his first White House bid and last visited the Corpus Christi area in 2022 for a rally ahead of the general election. The region has become a strategic focus for Republicans working to expand support among Hispanic voters.

President Trump recently endorsed Gov. Abbott's reelection, stating that he "has my complete and total Endorsement for Re-election." Abbott responded to the endorsement, writing on social media, "Thank you President Trump for your endorsement and for standing strong with Texas. You have our back and Texas will always have yours."

President Trump's visit highlights Texas's continued importance in Republican primary politics, and with early voting nearing its end, Trump's appearance could energize supporters and reshape the final days of campaigning across the state.
