Unlike the results in Republican Senate primary election  between Sen. John Cornyn, Attorney General Ken Paxson, the Demoratic Senate primary race between Progressive Democrats, Rep. Jasmine Crockett has lost to State Senator James Talerico.

Rep. Crockett and Senator Talerico garnered 45.8 and 53 percent of the vote, respectively.

Republicans Sen. John Cornyn and AG. Paxson will face off in the May 26 run-off election.

Because she is perceived as the most progressive of the two candidates, Republicans were hoping that Rep. Crockett would have prevailed.

Conservative TV show host Sean Hannity even openly endorsed Crockett in the race. Hannity was joking, of course.

Rapper Cardi B also endorsed Crockett in the race.
