U.S. Representative Jasmine Crockett (D) is calling on Vice President JD Vance and the president's Cabinet to invoke Section Four of the Twenty-Fifth Amendment, arguing that President Donald Trump is unfit to serve.
In a sharply worded letter, Rep. Crockett claims it has become "indisputably apparent" that Trump is incapable of carrying out his duties, alleging he is "deranged" and "likely suffering from dementia."
She further warned that his leadership has pushed the United States toward what she described as the brink of committing "one of the largest war crimes in modern history."
Rep. Crockett also criticized Republican leadership, accusing them of enabling the president's actions and calling their support "among America's greatest scandals." She argued that the administration's policies are driving the country deeper into prolonged conflicts abroad while harming the economy and undermining constitutional norms.
We are watching a dangerous and unfit President drag this country toward catastrophe — and Republicans refuse to act.

"The country and the Constitution remain in jeopardy with each passing day Donald Trump is President of the United States," wrote Crockett.
The letter goes beyond the question of conduct, asserting that Trump's actions may be "criminal in nature" and claiming recent legal rulings on presidential immunity have emboldened what she described as unlawful behavior.
Crockett urged immediate action from VP Vance and Cabinet officials, stating it is "long overdue" to consider invoking the Twenty-Fifth Amendment, which allows for the removal of a president deemed unable to discharge the powers and duties of the office.
She framed the situation as a pivotal moment, warning that the nation faces a choice between continued instability and intervention by top officials to restore order.
Crockett's letter escalates political tensions in Washington, adding to ongoing partisan battles over Trump's leadership and raising the stakes around constitutional mechanisms for presidential accountability.
