Toyota's growing Texas footprint

Toyota has operated in San Antonio for more than two decades.

The company:

• Broke ground on its San Antonio plant in 2003.
• Began vehicle production in 2006.
• Currently operates a 2.2-million-square-foot manufacturing facility.
• Produces the Toyota Tundra and Toyota Sequoia.

With the new expansion:

• Total investment in the San Antonio campus will reach $8.3 billion.
• The facility will employ approximately 6,100 workers.
• Twenty-three on-site suppliers employ another 5,600 people.

Toyota Motor North America has also maintained its North American headquarters in Plano since 2014, where approximately 6,600 employees work at the company's $1 billion campus.
