Texas Senator Ted Cruz held a press conference on Capitol Hill with several other Republican Senators, including Sens. Rick Scott, Joni Ernst, and John Cornyn, to denounce the ongoing Hamas terror attacks against Israel, and to call on President Joe Biden to stand up for the U.S. strongest ally in the Middle East, and against the "Crazy Left" within the Democratic Party.
Sen. Cruz began his remarks by remembering when he met with ambassadors from Bahrain and the UAE at the White House during their respective and historic peace accords with Israel.
“It is now clear to us that American stands unequivocally with Israel. We want to be friends with America, therefore we will be friends with Israel,” said the ambassadors of Bahrain and UAE, according to Cruz.

Sen. Cruz then leaned into President Biden and Progressive Democrats in the House, accusing the president of “undermining Israel” by sending the Hamas-led Palestinian Authority "100’s of millions of dollars" in aid, and also accusing “The Squad” of espousing pro-Hamas statements. Cruz also repeated his call to Biden to "replenish" military aid to Israel.
“Joe Biden and Kamala Harris ought to have the courage to stand up to the crazy Left, and instead of giving in to their demand to cut off essential weapons,” added Cruz.
Cruz said that “the Democratic Party is governed and led by the extreme Left, by the Squad, by AOC and Tlaib, and Omar,” adding that their “statements might as well be issued on behalf of Hamas.
“The Democrats act as their press agents,” continued Cruz, adding that “Democrat spread their (Hamas) propaganda,” and blamed Hamas for killing the “human shields” Israel is blamed for killing during their retaliatory air raids against Hamas military targets.
Biden recently told Israeli PM Netanyahu that he expected to see a “significant” de-escalation to their retaliation against Hamas.
