Congressional Creators Caucus Hosts First Creator Row on Capitol Hill

Representatives Beth Van Duyne (R-TX) and Yvette Clarke (D-NY) hosted the first-ever Creator Row on Capitol Hill, bringing together creators, digital platforms, and policymakers to highlight the growing economic impact of the creator economy.

What was Creator Row?

The bipartisan Congressional Creators Caucus hosted its inaugural "Creator Row: A Creator Economy Showcase on the Hill," gathering more than 30 creators, eight digital platforms, and Syracuse University for a first-of-its-kind event focused on the creator economy.

The showcase gave Members of Congress, congressional staff, creators, and industry representatives an opportunity to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing digital entrepreneurs and content creators across the country.

Why are lawmakers focusing on the creator economy?

The event highlighted the increasing role creators play as small business owners, employers, and economic contributors.

Attendees heard remarks from Rep. Van Duyne, House Small Business Committee Chairman Roger Williams (R-TX), Rep. Steven Horsford (D-NV), Rep. Seth Magaziner (D-RI), and participating creators.

What lawmakers are saying

Rep. Beth Van Duyne: "The creator economy is empowering opportunities in every corner of America. From small towns to major cities, America is filled with creators building their brands and businesses, hiring local talent, contributing to their communities, and reaching audiences around the world."

Rep. Yvette D. Clarke: "The creator economy is one of the fastest-growing sectors of our modern economy, and Congress has a responsibility to ensure creators have the resources, protections, and opportunities they need to succeed."

Who Participated?

Major digital platforms and industry organizations participated in the event, including:

  • Youtube
  • Meta
  • Patreon
  • Adobe
  • Tiktok

The Bottom Line

Launched in 2025 by Reps. Van Duyne and Clarke, the bipartisan Congressional Creators Caucus was created to support and engage with the rapidly expanding creator economy. The caucus serves as a forum for policymakers, creators, and industry stakeholders to discuss policies related to innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital economic growth.
