Texas Representative Beth Van Duyne (R) went after the Biden administration for its actions regarding the ongoing issue of border security.
"Make no mistake: Texas is on the front line of Biden and Mayorkas’ border disaster. Not only are Mexican cartels in control of our southern border, but they’re supported by the Biden Administration’s taxpayer-funded transportation. Mayorkas’ DHS operation has ushered in a new era of human slavery in America."

"So far, under the Biden administration, approximately 4 million illegal aliens have unlawfully crossed the Texas border. 1.9 million in 2023 alone are representing nearly half of those apprehended across the country," said Rep. Van Duyne.
Texas has been a main point of entry for migrant workers crossing the border. However, many Texas lawmakers have worked to pass legislation attempting to stop the influx of entries.
"Additionally, in Texas, half a million known gotaways were detected by border patrol representing nearly 60% of those apprehended nationwide. And, as you are aware, those gotaways are the most dangerous. These illegal aliens are most likely violent criminals, gang members and potential members of terror cells now operating in our country."
Rep. Van Duyne touted Texas Governor Greg Abbott's (R) controversial Operation Lone Star program which targets fentanyl smuggling as well as illegal immigration.
"To stop the vast tsunami of human trafficking, drug trafficking and invasion of our country, Texas has had to spend over $5 billion to support local law enforcement operations to support and protect our people through Operation Lone Star, under which Texas has apprehended more than 400,000 illegal immigrants; arrested more than 33,000 criminals, with more than 30,000 felony charges reported; and seized more than 426,000,000 lethal doses of fentanyl."
The congresswoman criticized various sanctuary cities for their response to the ethically questionable act of busing migrants to their cities.
"Our state shouldn't have to be responsible for this kind of massive national security operation, but, while we dig in and fight back, Democrat-run, virtue-signaling sanctuary cities protests because a few thousand illegal immigrants are brought to their doorsteps, even though they asked for that when they declared themselves sanctuary cities in the first place."
Recently, Rep. Van Duyne took the House floor to fight for the Child Support Enforcement Program.
In a tweet, Rep. Van Duyne criticized the IRS for its role in ending the program.
“The IRS is continuing to push harmful policies. Their latest effort will put millions of families at risk who rely on the resources provided by the Child Support Enforcement Program. Together with my @WaysandMeansGOP colleagues, I’m working to preserve access for vulnerable families.”
