Representative Randy Weber (R-TX) led over 15 of his colleagues in sending a letter to President Joe Biden (D) and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas demanding transparency concerning reports of the Biden administration flying over 300,000 illegal immigrants into the United States from foreign airports.
Rep. Weber said that this decision from the Biden administration not only poses a threat to national security but also “raises serious questions” about the President’s administration.
“Joe Biden and Alejandro Mayorkas are consistently sidestepping the rule of law to assist and guide unvetted illegal aliens into our communities, and now helping them to fly directly to American cities. This poses not only a national security risk but also raises serious questions about this Administration,” said Rep. Weber. “We will hold their feet to the fire and demand answers for the American people. Secretly flying unvetted illegal aliens into our cities at the expense of the basic safety of the American people has no place in America."
Within the letter, the lawmakers did not hold anything back against the President and his Homeland Security Secretary.
“Given your complicity in the worst border crisis in American history, we should not have been surprised to learn that your Administration has created a new avenue for foreign nationals to distort our nation’s immigration process,” the lawmakers wrote. “It is appalling that this Administration advertises ‘advance travel authorizations’ that allow for illegal aliens to fly directly to American cities of their choosing, only to be released under the corrupted asylum parole program.”
They ended the letter by blasting the Biden administration for their lack of planning and the lack of transparency regarding their failures on this issue.
“It is concerning to learn that there are unknown havens for illegal immigrants throughout the country and, even worse, to learn that your Administration refuses to name which communities must bear the burden you have created,” wrote Rep. Weber and the lawmakers. “This administration has shown total contempt for the rule of law, our national sovereignty, and the basic safety of the American people.”
Signees of the letter alongside Rep. Weber include names such as Representatives Byron Donalds (R-FL), Troy Nehls (R-TX), Lauren Boebert (R-CO), and Bill Posey (R-FL).
