Representative Brian Mast (R-FL) recently chastised President Joe Biden (D) and his administration for claiming to have “done more than anybody” to seal the southern border. However, it appears the numbers do not reflect those efforts.
Fox News’ Bill Melugin provided the numbers of known “gotaways” at the border over the last 13 years from a Freedom of Information Act request. President Biden’s administration has allowed 1.6 million gotaways from FY (fiscal year) 2021-2023 compared to the 1.4 million between FY 2010-2020.
Rep. Mast said that the Biden administration is “lying.”
The Biden Administration is lying to the American people claiming Joe’s done more than President Trump to secure our border. FALSE.
1.6 million gotaways in just the past THREE years, that’s higher than 2010-2020 combined! https://t.co/20toIQD7r3

He also added that Biden has “rolled out the red carpet” for undocumented migrants.
Joe Biden has rolled out the red carpet for illegal aliens by refusing to secure our border.
This is impacts everything, especially our local police departments as they see an increase in criminal activity brought on by these undocumented immigrants.
Border security is pro-law…

“Joe Biden has rolled out the red carpet for illegal aliens by refusing to secure our border. This is [sic] impacts everything, especially our local police departments as they see an increase in criminal activity brought on by these undocumented immigrants. Border security is pro-law enforcement,” said Mast.
In March, the Florida congressman included his concerns at the southern border in his rationale for voting against the $1.2 trillion government funding package. Only six Florida Republicans voted for the spending bill while the rest voted no.
Mast highlighted the more interesting parts of the bill that taxpayers might scoff at.
“$100 MILLION for diversity training in the Health Resources and Services Administration. $32.5 MILLION for the pro-abortion United Nations Population Fund. $10 million for organizations providing or promoting gender transitions for adults AND children,” said Mast. “On top of that, the legislation failed to properly address the ongoing crisis at our southern border. The package, however, did provide more than $880 MILLION to secure the borders of Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, and Oman. The hypocrisy is out of control.”
He concluded, I will continue to fight to protect YOUR tax money and make sure your tax money is not used to fund idiotic ideas.”
Mast represents Florida’s 21st Congressional District.
