Texas Senator Ted Cruz (R) is taking issue with "Can't Comment Colin," accusing him of emboldening illegal immigration concerns. Texas Rep. Colin Allred (D) is looking to oust the Texas Senator, but his voting record could prove to seal his fate with Texas voters. With the November election inching closer, Senator Cruz warns that Rep. Allred's voting record threatens the country.

In a message to supporters, Senator Cruz's campaign cited a 2019 campaign event for Vice President Kamala Harris (D), who unsuccessfully ran for president. When asked if she would commit to closing immigration detention centers, she responded with "absolutely, on day one." However, Senator Cruz argues that she hasn't been tough on illegal immigration, so he's resorted to introducing bills like Justice for Jocelyn Act.

The bill would mandate that illegal immigrants must remain in federal custody as long as beds are available. In reference to Jocelyn Nungaray, who was assaulted and killed by illegal immigrants, there reportedly were 2,000 beds for the illegal Venezuelan assailants, but they were released.

The Texas Senator went on to highlight that "Can't Comment Colin" hasn't held a press conference in 49 days, which is similar to Republicans' criticism of Vice President Harris, who has not addressed journalists since being unveiled as the Democratic presidential nominee.

A Cruz Campaign Spokesperson further connected Vice President Harris and Rep. Allred, saying that "Kamala Harris has an extreme record on open border policies, and she's made it clear that she's perfectly fine with dangerous illegal aliens roaming our streets unchecked and unsupervised." "What's even more concerning is that Colin Allred's record on the border is even more extreme than Border Czar Harris'."

“A world where there is a Senator Colin Allred and a President Harris is every illegal alien's dream come true and every Texan's worst nightmare.”
