Former President Donald Trump (R) has called for CBS to release the full transcript of their interview with Vice President Kamala Harris (D) on “60 Minutes.” The former president said that this instance of the news network allegedly shielding the entire interview from the American public could be the “biggest scandal” in journalism and television history. The news company released a statement regarding the Harris interview prior to former President Trump's social media post.

“When will CBS release their Transcript of the fraudulent Interview with Comrade Kamala Harris?” said former President Trump. “They changed her answer in order to make Kamala look intelligent, rather than ‘dumb as a rock.’ This may be the Biggest Scandal in Broadcast History!”

He continued, sharing that lawsuits have already hit the judicial system, especially as VP Harris “wasn’t able to put two sentences together” during the interview according to Trump.

“CBS MUST GET THE TRANSCRIPT OUT NOW — Litigation has already started. Harris wasn’t able to put two sentences together, so they completely removed her answer, and put in another one,” Trump said.

Finally, in what has been perhaps the phrase of the 2024 election cycle, President Trump declared that VP Harris is a “threat to democracy” and “unfit” for the role of Commander-in-Chief.

“The Public has a right to know what was changed to save this TOTALLY UNFIT Presidential Candidate from our Country’s Voters. SHE IS A THREAT TO DEMOCRACY!” concluded Trump.

On Sunday, 60 Minutes responded to the accusations that Trump and his campaign have made since the Harris interview aired and re-aired on “Face the Nation.”

CBS’ statement in response denied Trump’s claim and invited him on to the program.

“Former President Donald Trump is accusing 60 Minutes of deceitful editing of our Oct. 7 interview with Vice President Kamala Harris. That is false,” the statement begins.

“60 Minutes gave an excerpt of our interview to Face the Nation that used a longer section of her answer than that on 60 Minutes. Same question. Same answer. But a different portion of the response,” said CBS. “When we edit any interview, whether a politician, an athlete, or movie star, we strive to be clear, accurate and on point. The portion of her answer on 60 Minutes was more succinct, which allows time for other subjects in a wide ranging 21-minute-long segment.”

The news organization concluded, “Our long-standing invitation to former President Trump remains open. If he would like to discuss the issues facing the nation and the Harris interview, we would be happy to have him on 60 Minutes.”

The nation will decide between former President Trump and Vice President Harris on Nov. 5.
