Much to the dismay of critics, President Donald Trump (R) has officially nominated Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. (I) for Secretary of Health and Human Services. As critics sound the alarm of what his appointment could mean for the country, Republicans are embracing the former presidential candidate. Texas Rep. Chip Roy (R) not only backs RFK Jr. for the post, but he calls him the "disruptor" that the country needs.
In August, RFK Jr. suspended his campaign and endorsed President Trump, which shocked the political world. Since then, both figures have joined forces to launch the "Make America Healthy Again" initiative.
This week, President Trump officially nominated RFK Jr. for HHS Secretary, saying that RFK Jr. would fight against "the industrial food complex and drug companies who have engaged in deception, misinformation, and disinformation when it comes to Public Health." "Mr. Kennedy will restore these Agencies to the traditions of Gold Standard Scientific Research, and beacons of Transparency, to end the Chronic Disease epidemic, and to Make America Great and Healthy Again!" the president-elect added.
During an interview with Fox News, Rep. Roy praised his "good friend," assuring that RFK Jr. will "initiate healthcare freedom." However, in assuming the role, Rep. Roy does note that Rfk Jr. will have a lot of work to do if he's going to "Make America Healthy Again."

What does that work entail?
According to Rep. Roy, "we need to root out the bureaucracy here, beat back the insurance companies, the Pharma companies, the big hospital corporations that are rolling over the 'little guys,' we need to root out all the corruption in this town, stop the mandates, free people up so they can have health savings accounts and go to the doctors of their choice rather than being told who to go get their healthcare from."
