President Donald Trump (R) has taken his oath of office, dubbing January 20th, 2025, as “Liberation Day.”
After taking the oath of office, President Trump took the podium to address the American people, drawing a distinction between the last four years and the four years that lie ahead. In President Trump’s eyes, “the golden age of America begins right now.”
“America’s decline is over,” the president said, affirming that “we will be the envy of every nation” and “our sovereignty will be reclaimed; our safety will be restored.”
Among the top priorities of the Trump Administration, securing the southern border and curbing illegal immigration are at the top. He announced that he would be declaring a national emergency at the southern border, calling illegal immigration a “disastrous invasion of our country,” and President Trump promised to designate the cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.
He addressed what he called “a crisis of trust” in government, he pledged to enact sweeping reforms to return power to the people and “give the people back their faith, their wealth, their democracy, and indeed their freedom.”
He promised that his administration, made up of “America Patriots,” is committed to putting “America First,” and that under the Trump Administration, “we will not forget our country, we will not forget our constitution, and we will not forget our God.”
The president also commented on space exploration, hinting at a future expedition that will take the United States to Mars where the stars and stripes of the flag will be planted on the planet.
Ultimately, President Trump expressed that his election in November is a mandate to reverse the “horrible betrayal” that he argues the country experienced under the Biden Administration.
“America will soon be greater, stronger, and far more exception than before,” the president vowed, affirming that the United States will soon be “proud, prosperous, and free.”
