Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned over 60 countries Thursday about political terrorism from the far-left, describing fire bombings and fatal blackouts.

Why does this matter?

The State Department recently launched a global coalition to combat far-left political terrorism and Rubio served another forewarning of global political threats.

What did Rubio tell the leaders?

  • "You are here because this is real and it is getting worse, and it can no longer be denied, and it can no longer be ignored because it's it is time to crush this evil forever."
  • "It is not a fiction manufactured by conservative politicians for most of the modern era. It was in fact the dominant form of political violence."

Rubio warned over 60 countries of such political threats, citing stories of fire bombings and fatal blackouts across the world as examples of terrorism.

Rubio described the terrorism as "not a recent day modern novelty" and that none of what he described is new.

"You are here because this is real and it is getting worse, and it can no longer be denied, and it can no longer be ignored because it's it is time to crush this evil forever," said Rubio.

Rubio called the nations, regardless of their political differences, to stand against the terrorism and unite to combat it and recognize it as a threat.

"It is not a fiction manufactured by conservative politicians for most of the modern era," said Rubio.

Rubio emphasized the warning is not fake and that leaders must pay attention to what he is saying because it is "in fact the dominant form of political violence."
