Jupiter Power Secures $1.4 Billion for 10 Battery Storage Projects

Jupiter Power announced $1.4 billion in financing across four transactions supporting 10 utility-scale battery energy storage projects in Texas and Michigan totaling 1,500 MW and 3,600 MWh of capacity.

What will the financing support?

The financing transactions include senior secured project debt, tax equity bridge loans, and an investment-grade U.S. private placement. The transactions, which closed between April and July 2026, bring Jupiter Power's total financing since its founding to more than $3 billion.

The company currently has 5.6 GW/19.7 GWh of projects operating, under construction, or under contract, along with another 23 GW in development across major U.S. power markets.

What are the largest transactions?

Jupiter Power's largest project financing to date was a $536 million senior secured facility closed in July. The financing will support construction of three Texas projects:

  • Tidwell Prairie II
  • Bee Branch
  • Barton Branch

HSBC Bank US and SMBC served as lenders.

In June, Jupiter closed a $281 million senior secured note issuance and letter of credit facility backed by three operating projects in Texas and Michigan.

A $294 million financing package closed in May will support Grand Basin and Voyager I, a two-project portfolio in Michigan interconnected within the MISO market.

In April, Jupiter secured$258 million to finance Callisto II and Pamela Heights I in Harris County, Texas.
