Women Speak Out PAC, a super PAC affiliated with Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, has launched $500,000 in new advertising targeting Democratic U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico (D), escalating the focus on abortion policy in Texas' 2026 Senate Race.

The ads accuse Talarico of supporting broad abortion access, including taxpayer-funded procedures and policies protecting abortion providers from lawsuits. The allegations are part of a broader $2 million voter-contact effort in Texas that includes outreach to Hispanic voters and campaigns for Senate and House Races, according to the organization.

The group said its Texas team has visited nearly 260,000 voters' homes as part of its outreach. The advertising also supports a nationwide effort by SBA Pro-Life America and affiliated organizations to contact 10 million persuadable and low-turnout voters during the 2026 election cycle. The organization says its broader campaign spending will reach $80 million.

Kelsey Pritchard, a spokeswoman for Women Speak Out, criticized Talarico's record and accused him of trying to present himself as more moderate on abortion. The group's messaging contrasts his positions with those of Republican U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton, whom the SBA Pro-Life America Candidate Fund has endorsed.

Abortion has also surfaced in recent public exchanges involving Talarico. During an October town hall, he said the Bible is silent on abortion, prompting a challenge from a Catholic attendee who argued that scripture condemns the practice. Talarico responded that people interpret scripture differently on the issue.

Talarico has supported restoring federal abortion protections and has criticized Texas' restrictive abortion law. His campaign has also emphasized economic concerns and the cost of living as central themes.

The new ad buy places abortion policy back into the contest between Talarico and Paxton, as outside groups invest in voter outreach ahead of the November election.
