Texas Republican U.S. Representatives are standing with Lone Star State Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) as he attempts to seal the southern border.

President Joe Biden (D) and his administration have called upon the State of Texas to allow the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to cut through razor wire fencing from the banks of the Rio Grande.

The Supreme Court upheld this request made by DHS to have the authority to cut the wire.

Gov. Abbott said that this issue is “not over" concerning the border.

“This is not over. Texas' razor wire is an effective deterrent to the illegal crossings Biden encourages. I will continue to defend Texas' constitutional authority to secure the border and prevent the Biden Admin from destroying our property,” said Gov. Abbott.

In response, Texas representatives have come to the defense of Abbott and the State of Texas as a whole.

“The list of states standing with Texas continues to grow. Mr. President, we asked you for three years to secure this border, but on day one of your administration you took a blowtorch to every single Trump policy that was successfully securing our homeland. Texas and most of the nation have had enough!” said Representative Wesley Hunt (R-TX).

Representative Brian Babin (R-TX) called the Supreme Court ruling “shameful.”

“Yesterday’s ruling by the Supreme Court is shameful. Preventing states from being able to protect themselves in the face of a federal government refusing to fulfill its constitutional duty is absurd. I support TX & believe it must keep holding the line,” said Rep. Babin.

Representative Troy Nehls (R-TX) told Texans and Americans alike to “hold the line.”

“The Biden Administration is failing to secure our southern border. The great State of Texas is doing everything it can to protect and defend not only Texas, but the rest of the country, from the invasion created by Joe Biden and his open-border policies. Hold the line,” said Rep. Nehls.

Despite the Supreme Court giving its ruling, should Texas continue on this trend, it could lead to escalation.

This is a developing story.
