Republicans are turning up the heat against Democrats as illegal immigration continues to surge. The "Border Crisis" has divided lawmakers along party lines, and addressing it has been an issue this election cycle considering the topic is weighing heavily on voters' minds. Texas Senator Ted Cruz (R) continues to speak on the issue, warning that Texans are seeing "human suffering" as a result of illegal immigration.
This week, Texas Rep. Chip Roy (R) unveiled new data showing that there are 425,431 convicted criminals that are in the country illegally, and 222,141 are pending criminal charges.
On social media, he commented that Democrats have not moved to address the issue because it's a political ploy.
"When you sit back and ask yourself 'Why would Democrats allow 13,000 murderers and 16,000 rapists into the country' you understand it can only be purposeful," Rep. Roy wrote on X. He further assessed that "the reasons get darker the longer they hold on to power."

Senator Cruz is now sharing the same sentiment, warning that inaction from Democrats has led to "dead bodies," women being sexually assaulted by human traffickers, and "little boys and little girls brutalized by human traffickers."
During an interview with Newsmax, Senator Cruz questioned, "why are Democrats allowing this invasion?" “They look at 11 and a half million illegal immigrants, and they see future Democrat voters. Some, they hope will vote illegally, and the rest, they plan to grant amnesty and give them voting rights in some future election," the Texas Senator added.
Texans have seen up-close the chaos caused by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s open borders policies.
We’ve witnessed the death, destruction, and human suffering for nearly four years.

"It is dangerous," the senator warned, further commenting that "there's no state that has paid the price, that has borne the burden more than the state of Texas."
Senator Cruz is currently running a reelection campaign against Texas Rep. Colin Allred (D), whom Senator Cruz has accused of supporting an "open border" policy.
