It’s Election Day, and Republicans are feeling optimistic about their chance at winning the White House. After issuing a dire warning of what’s at stake in the 2024 presidential election, Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R) is confident that President Donald Trump (R) will win the election. For Rep. Crenshaw, “it looks pretty good for Trump.”
Yesterday, the Texas Republican took to social media to distinguish between President Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris (D), assuring that a vote for President Trump is "a return to peace."
During an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper, Rep. Crenshaw discussed the likelihood of President Trump emerging victorious from the election. According to the polls that he's seen, "it looks pretty good for Trump."

Comparing the Trump campaign this same time four years ago, "Trump is down 8 points in favorability ratings against Biden," Rep. Crenshaw explained. However, the Trump campaign's standing appears to be different this time around. According to the Texas congressman, polls show that President Trump is only down by 1 point.
"When you look at the swing states, he looks like he’s up by a point or so in places that he needs to win in like Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Georgia," Rep. Crenshaw assessed, admitting that if the numbers are true, "you're looking at a Trump victory here."
When questioned if he was prepared to be asked about any "wild" comments the president will make should he win, Rep. Crenshaw clarified that he's not President Trump's spokesperson. Instead, he's a member of congress who's been elected to represent his constituents.
"In the end, what matters to my constituents is the policies, and [Republican] policies are simply better," he explained. "There's a better governing philosophy by the Republican Party, and I think there's a very radical progressive agenda that is nothing like the Democrat Party of the 90s."
