Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) held a press conference this afternoon with Tom Homan (R), the incoming "Border Czar." In his comments, Homan grilled the Biden Administration, claiming that President Joe Biden (D) "unsecured the border on purpose." As President Donald Trump's (R) inauguration date draws near, Homan assures that the president-elect's job will be "finished" come January 20th.

Both Governor Abbott and Homan appeared at Eagle Pass this afternoon to discuss the ongoing efforts to curb illegal immigration. Since being announced as President Trump's "Border Czar," Homan has verbally clashed with Democrats who have shared that they will defy any efforts from the Trump Administration when it comes to deportations. Because of this, Homan has endorsed the idea of lawmakers facing legal repercussions if they push back against said efforts.

"For the last four years, I wake up every mornin' pissed off about what this administration did to the most secure border in my lifetime," Homan said during the press conference, reminding those in attendance that he has worked for 6 different presidents dating back to President Ronald Reagan (R). In his assessment, every president he's worked under has made an effort to strengthen border security, noting that the presidents understood that "you can't have strong national security if you don't have border security."

However, he argues that things have been different under the incumbent president.

"Joe Biden is the first president in the history of this nation who came into office and unsecured the border on purpose," Human claimed. "This isn't mismanagement. This isn't incompetence. This is by design."

In contrast, Homan believes that President Trump is a "bada** president" because of his effort to combat illegal immigration, noting that the president-elect secured the border "to a level we've never seen before" during his first term in office. "Illegal immigration was down to a 45-year low. Illegal immigration was down between 83% and 93%," Homan pointed out.
