Shortly after taking the oath of office, President Donald Trump (R) issued a series of executive orders targeting immigration reform and signaling a dramatic change in border security and immigration policy.
The executive orders have drawn widespread condemnation from Democrats, but Republicans like Texas Rep. Chip Roy (R) are welcoming the orders with open arms and a breath of fresh air.
On social media, Rep. Roy shared a series of posts on X, praising President Trump and supporting his actions such as reinstating Title 42 and the Remain in Mexico policy, ending the CBP One app, designating drug cartels as terrorist organizations, and attempting to end birthright citizenship.

The Texas Republican noted that the president’s actions align with efforts he previously sought to enact such as introducing legislation in 2019 to declare the cartels as terrorist organizations.
“By ending the CBP One app, declaring the cartels as terrorist organizations, reinstating Title 42 and the Remain in Mexico policies, and ending the longstanding problem of birthright citizenship the president has sent an unmistakable message: the rule of law is back, and this government is going to put America and her citizens first again,” the Texas congressman expressed.
Rep. Roy also emphasized the importance of congressional action, calling on his colleagues to follow in the president’s lead and support his efforts to ensure border security reforms endure.
“The time for excuses is over; the time for actions is now. Let’s get this done.”
Now it is time for Congress to follow his lead and to our own part. With a Republican trifecta in the House, Senate, and White House, we must move quickly to deliver the immediate resources and long-term policy changes necessary to secure the border now and ensure that ...
