State Senator Roland Gutierrez: "The solution to fixing Texas public schools is funding them and treating teachers with respect, not sending a billion dollars to wealthy private schools."
State Rep. Ana-María Rodríguez Ramos: "AZ's vouchers were sold as 'choice' but delivered a $1.4B budget shortfall, drained public schools, and became a subsidy for wealthy families. Now @GregAbbott_TX wants to force Texas down the same road. We need strong public schools for ALL kids, not handouts for the rich."
Commissioner Rodney Ellis: "I am proud to support the proposal to rename Terminal E at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in honor of the late Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee. This tribute is well-deserved and recognizes her commitment to Houston."
Rep. Morgan Luttrell: "Securing our border requires more than just manpower -- it requires cutting-edge technology that gives our agents the tools they need to stay ahead of the threats we face. After passing in the House tonight, it's time for the Senate to take up H.R. 993, the Emerging Innovative Border Technologies Act, and send it on to President Trump to be signed into law."
