Entergy Texas is expanding its CoolSaver program after providing thousands of Southeast Texas customers with free A/C tune-ups and home weatherization upgrades designed to lower energy use and reduce utility bills.

How is Entergy Texas helping customers this summer?

As Southeast Texas continues to experience extreme summer temperatures, Entergy Texas is expanding its CoolSaver energy efficiency program to help customers stay comfortable while reducing home cooling costs.

The utility recently partnered with local contractors to provide free air conditioning tune-ups for customers in the Orange and Dayton areas and plans to expand the program to additional communities over the coming years.

What does the CoolSaver program include?

Through the CoolSaver program, eligible residential customers receive no-cost A/C tune-ups valued at more than $250 per unit. The service is designed to improve cooling system performance by:

  • Cleaning A/C equipment.
  • Correcting system issues.
  • Adjusting components.
  • Optimizing overall efficiency.

What Entergy Texas is saying

Weslyn Brown, Entergy Texas' energy efficiency program manager, said the program is designed to help families manage both comfort and energy costs.

Weslyn Brown: "We know summer heat in Southeast Texas can be intense, and inefficient cooling systems can add stress to a family's budget."

Weslyn Brown continued: "These tune-ups and upgrades can improve comfort, reduce energy use, and put customers in a better position during the hottest months of the year."

The Bottom Line

Entergy Texas is expanding its CoolSaver program to provide more Southeast Texas residents with free A/C tune-ups, weatherization upgrades, and energy-saving resources. The initiative aims to improve home comfort, lower electricity use, and help customers manage rising summer cooling costs.
