Rep. Christian Menefee: "If these ICE agents didn't have cameras, it's because Trump and Republicans didn't want them to have them."
He also noted that Ice is the nation's highest-funded law enforcement agency and pointed to funding for new agents, detention centers, signing bonuses, and enforcement operations.
Rep. Menefee continued: "They found money for detention centers, for signing bonuses, for a hiring spree, and for enhanced enforcement operations. But they refused to spend that money on body-worn cameras for all their officers."
Menefee also claimed Democrats pushed to make body cameras a condition for DHS funding while criticizing Republican-backed efforts to reduce funding for the program.

- Release the names of every ICE officer involved in the incident.
- Clarify whether any officers on the scene were equipped with body cameras.
- Identify which ICE officers conducting enforcement operations in Houston were wearing cameras.
