This week, Vice President Kamala Harris (D) sat down with Fox News' Bret Baier for an interview. The vice president, previously criticized for not taking part in interviews, took part in a tense exchange with Baier. While Democrats view her participation as an effort in courage to appeal to a conservative demographic of voters, Republicans are dismissing the interview, admitting that she dodged the questions. Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R) is now sharing his thoughts on Vice President Harris' interview, blasting her responses.

In the interview, Vice President Harris was questioned over the border, illegal immigration, and whether her and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz's (D) supported providing driver's licenses, free tuition, and free healthcare to illegal immigrants. To this, the presidential candidate responded that her administration would "follow the law."

Responding to her comments, Rep. Crenshaw argues that the vice president dodged the question and that her time in office proves otherwise.

When asked about her past support for giving illegal immigrants driver’s licenses, free tuition, and healthcare - Kamala dodges the question," the Texas Republican assessed. "First off, this is an easy yes/no question," he added, assessing that "what’s more concerning is her already checkered history with the law, like ignoring it to forgive student loans, for instance."

Rep. Crenshaw also expressed that Vice President Harris has ignored the law "to mass parole tens of thousands of illegal immigrants. Plus, her running mate, Tim Walz, has already turned some of these extreme policies into law in Minnesota."

He posited that the presidential hopeful is "laying the groundwork to make these policies “legal,” despite the fact that they are extremely unpopular with voters. But she won’t tell you that until after the election."

Polls indicate that the election is neck-and-neck. In a recent Wall Street Journal poll, voters suggested that they're split when it comes to the candidate that would be better on certain issues. Voters feel that Vice President Harris would be a better candidate for abortion, housing affordability, and healthcare, but they believe President Donald Trump (R) would be better on the economy, inflation, immigration, and border security.
