President Donald Trump (R) is back in the White House, and Republicans are cheering. Ken Paxton (R), Texas' Attorney General, has taken to social media, praising the president and hailing his inauguration as the dawn of a new chapter for the United States.

On X, Attorney General Paxton celebrated President Trump's inauguration, which the president called "Liberation Day."

“President Trump’s inauguration marks the beginning of a new era and the triumphant return to the foundational principles that make America great," the attorney general wrote on social media, adding that "together, we will secure our borders, uphold the law, and restore the freedoms that Biden’s unlawful policies sought to undermine.”

Paxton, who's been a staunch ally of the president, also shared his effort to combat policies during the Biden Administration, informing his followers that he had sued the administration on its way out.

“Just this morning I sued Biden for the last time, making it a total of 106 legal actions over the course of four years,” the attorney general shared. “Instead of empowering people to pursue their American dream, Biden consistently abused his power as he pushed a radical agenda that undermined our economic opportunity, national security, and religious liberty.”

He highlighted President Trump’s election victory as a mandate for change, which was similarly expressed during the president's inauguration speech.

Attorney General Paxton emphasized the need to reverse the Biden Administration's actions to create "a brighter, freer future" for Americans.

As President Trump's administration begins to take action, Paxton affirmed Texas’ commitment to support the president and his endeavors. “Texas stands ready to work hand-in-hand with the new administration to protect the rights of every American, uphold the Constitution, and make America great again,” he declared.

In his inauguration speech, President Trump discussed some of his plans, which include designating the cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.
